What’s one of the first things you should do in a new leadership role at the University of Montana? Hop on an episode of the GFP of course! Joining us for a little over an hour is the newly installed President of the University of Montana, Jeremiah Shinn. The conversation ranges from his background and experiences at other schools, to his vision for Montana, and the vital roll athletics plays as the front step to the University. Bobby Hauck announced his retirement from the University of Montana Football program on February 4th, 2026. When news of this magnitude hits, you know we’ve got to drop an emergency pod! Joining the GFP for the first 50 minutes is Deputy Director of Athletics Greg Sundberg. Greg talks on the day of the announcement and the days leading up to it. From there the pod goes into our thoughts and feelings on the news. We close with the 80+ fan questions that came our way.

Arguably the biggest sporting event in Montana will occur this Saturday when the Grizzlies and Bobcats meet in the FCS semifinals. This week’s GFP we give some time to recap the USD win and then move into the upcoming game against the bobcats. With a week of rest the Montana Grizzlies put on their best performance of the season in a masterful beatdown of the SDSU Jackrabbits. This week we dive into our takeaways from the game and what this means going forward. We look around the playoffs a bit and give some time to Montana’s next opponent, South Dakota. The last 90 minutes or so cover the overwhelming amount of fan questions.
