The process Grief is greatly tied to the Passion Week, more specifically the Good Friday, Holy Saturday Easter Sunday. What does this mean? And... how do we sit with others as they grieve?

As W.E. celebrate freedom this Fourth of July weekend, let's thank God not only for the freedoms we enjoy as citizens, but for the greater freedom we have in Christ. Not the freedom to do whatever we want. Not merely the freedom to avoid doing wrong. But the freedom to love God, serve others, and become the people we were created to be.
he path to godly maturity tomorrow is to walk in our God-given responsibilities today. That'll preach. But will this... We have a God-given responsibility to handle ordinary disputes, especially among one another (1 Cor. 6). Follow up question... What does a maturing Christian community require or need as conflict arises?
Without timely loving confrontation, the church stops growing. Without loving confrontation altogether, the church starts dying. Today, we are looking at the first and very specific issue in the church. It’s likely the worst and obvious issue, which creates a segue into the rest of the issues. However, for now, let's discuss potentially heinous issues in the church and what happens when there is no repentance.

We live in what many would call "the therapeutic age". Some even argue that personal feelings, individual happiness and generational scapegoating are the new normal. In the faith, we have leaders who are... spiritual parents. The apostle Paul gives a clear indication of a parent: someone who treats not with shame, but as a beloved child. Yet, is this everyone's experience? Listen and consider how remembering and perhaps even reconnecting with a spiritual parent may form you... and them on this journey we call faith.
- Conflict is so hard but waiting to have them only makes it harder. - Even though you can talk too much about sin, you can’t talk about it enough. - Even though you can talk too much about grace, you can’t talk about grace enough! - As a leader, people don’t care what you know until you know how much you care. These are good lessons we hear a lot... but don’t truly hit home until you experience it. In other words, some leadership lessons aren’t fully learned until they’re lived. What are you two leadership lessons that we may know but don’t want to live?
God uses the crisis moments in our lives to deepen the shallow roots of an otherwise self-centered faith. That can sound offensive... but we all start the faith journey has infants. The goal is to learn to grow up and avoid those shallow roots. What are some indicators of said shallow roots?

W.E. have always appreciated the definition that is commonly misattributed to C.S. Lewis… Humility is not thinking less of yourself but rather thinking of yourself less. Humiliation thinks less of one's self. Biblical humility focuses efforts for the sake of others… in order to serve and love. Humility is a choice. That said, what are some humilities that God gives us a gift that we can receive with humility?

Some formulas for us: Foolishness = wisdom of the world. Foolishness = what was preached? Foolishness now = Christ crucified?! Yet, Christ = power & wisdom of God! The new formulas... Foolishness of God > human wisdom Weakness of God > human strength To God be the brilliance.
The world is divided. Read 1 Cor. 1:10-17. Divisions answered. In this small portion of Scripture, we are reminded of the only thing that can bring a divided people together. True community is formed from the common unity: our desperate need for… Jesus.
When conflict inevitably arises, we must begin and end with what we’ve agreed upon. Starting the conversation there brings us back to shared ground... what we’ve already said “yes” to together. And what does that establish? Grounded expectations. So the question becomes: what expectations should be clearly established in every relationship?
What helps us recognize—and even weigh—truth? Compelling truth? Is it just evidence or proof? Those matter. The first Easter invites us to consider eyewitnesses, the lives of the early saints, Scripture, and even non-biblical accounts. But there’s more. We all carry an inner criteria for truth—the kind we not only believe, but want to follow. Compelling truth must be good. Compelling truth must be beautiful. In history... the highest goodness is the Crucifixion and the greatest beauty is the Resurrection. NOTE: This Easter message was strikingly shortened from the earlier manuscript. With that
Where and when do you most experience God’s presence manifest? Conversely, where and when do you least experience God’s presence manifest? This sacramental way of living addresses the crying need to experience God as truly manifest and notoriously active in daily life. This stream concerns itself with the relationship between spirit and matter. Expanded, the Incarnational Tradition is a life that makes present and visible the realm of the invisible Spirit. God can be AND IS manifest through material means.
