I had a theme for this week’s show already in the works when Cyclical Dreams released the new album by one of my favorites, Michael Brückner. Upon listening to it, I felt I wanted to feature it but, even more, I felt it would be worth highlighting Michael’s music in general. So this week’s show will consist entirely of music created by Michael Brückner. Tune in to hear why he’s one of my favorite artists.
I was watching a live YouTube performance by Bill Astro Music this week that I found inspiring. I asked him if he'd send me a recording of the track to share on the show, which he graciously did. That made me dig in the archives for more recordings of live on-air performances, and so that is the focus of this week's episode of The Main Sequence. August 08 2026 - We are living in heady times as far as the amount of new music being created, performed, and released. While I just did a “NEW MUSIC” show last week, I just acquired (thanks in no small part to Bandcamp Friday) quite a few brand new nuggets of joy. And so I will share them with you. Tune in for new music from Arjen Schat, Thaneco & Romerium, Robert Rich, Michael Brückner, and more.
August 01, 2026 - While the show will not consist entirely of new releases, I’m going to call it a new release show just to put a shine on it. Of course, if you haven’t heard any of the music I’ll be playing then it’s all new to you anyway. The bottom line is to be prepared to be entranced by music that will be fresh to your ears.
This week I added several new artists to the Main Sequence library, including renowned dungeon synth artist, Jim Kirkwood. So we introduced some new music. Then there were some tributes to Klaus Schulze and plenty of other great music.
Threw this one together pretty quickly, but I'm happy with the combination of tracks that emerged. The time spanned in the show goes from 1987 until just this week. There continues to be an inspiring body of this music being produced. Listen and enjoy.
July 11, 2026 - Once again, I don't plan a theme but during the show one seems to emerge.... This show came to focus on quite a few free and "name your price" releases, both old and new. It takes me back to hosting Free Floating where all of the music was available for free download. July 4, 2026 - There was no theme when I put this show together, but in the midst of it I felt that it could be called "Eponymous" due to the number of Album/Track/Artist names that coincided. The show welcomes a new artist, Caught In Joy, to the fold and (unsurprisingly) features the latest Cyclical Dreams release from Adam Filip.
June 27, 2026 - This show was another NEW MUSIC feature. I recently added a whole lot of music to The Main Sequence library–some new releases, some newly discovered older music via the Internet Archive. It’s new to me, so I’m going to share it with you.

June 06, 2026 - This week’s show is about going with the flow… Which means exploring some longer tracks (though maybe not as long as during The Long March). The show consists of three pieces by D*Time, Michael Brückner, and grum-pe. Each has the time to grow and shift and flow and transform, some of what this kind of music can do best.

I went on a bit of an acquisition binge yesterday for Bandcamp Friday. And so I have plenty of new music to share with you this week. Some are new releases, some are re-releases, and some are artists who are new to the show and RadioSpiral.
I'm not that good at coming up with themes for the show at this point. Most of the time it comes down to, "Hey, here are some great pieces I think you should hear...." This is one of those shows. Just some really good music that maybe you don't know (but should).
Let's call this one a time machine, as we delve way back into a cassette release from the early 1980s all the way up to brand new releases...
In honor of the current Artemis II mission to the moon, this show focuses on lunar themed pieces. The association between synth music and space exploration is legendary, so this is a perfect fit. A lot of great music to hear from some Main Sequence favorites.
For the final installment of this year's Long March, we start with Arc of Passion by Steve Roach, continue with a live concert from Arjen Schat, and then conclude with a piece from DTime.
The focus this week was on a piece by Chuck van Zyl from his Passages album, The Face of the Night, clocking in at about 78 minutes. To warm you up there's a great piece from The Soviet Space Dog Project. Enjoy how the music grows and develops across these long form pieces.
Mar 14, 2026 - The Long March progresses this week with something really long, the Star Seed track from The Rosen Corporation clocks in at over 1 hour 18 minutes. It goes through a lot of moods. Then we hit Sophos' performance from Cyclical Fest 2023 which starts with jagged tones and then blossoms into full sequences....
Mar 7, 2026 - The first installment of The Long March where I feature long-form pieces (30 minutes or more). Two great tracks from State Azure and Michael Brückner.
