A Person of the Church PT3 The Factory Youth Paul encourages the reader in this passage to acknowledge their own sin and salvation, so as not to grow judgmental of or influenced by those who do not know Christ. Instead of being defensive or compromised in our faith, we are to be compassionate and firm-footed, because everyone falls short of God’s glory.
A Controlled Self The Factory Youth In this passage, Paul uses the words “self control” several times in various respects. He tells us that our emotions, behavior, and thoughts are to bend to the christian’s truest values. This results in being under control of Jesus, and not controlled by our own self.
A Person of the Church The Factory Youth A letter written by Paul to Titus describes a group of people heavily influence by the culture around them. With a mission to develop churches in the area, this letter gives characteristics of a person of the church, and what kind of life a person of the church should live.
Our God is a Consuming Fire The Factory Youth The bible frequently refers to God’s presence as a “consuming fire.” Attributes of His presence include the purification and power of a jealous God, who wants all of ourselves, so that what is unnecessary goes, and the necessary stays.
