The apostle Paul's (likely) fourth letter to the church at Corinth is a vivid window into a tense, contentious relationship between one of the Corinthian church's spiritual leaders and a congregation struggling to live out their faith fully. Paul writes to defend his calling and conduct toward the church at Corinth and, in doing so, reveals how God's love should guide Christians as they relate to other believers and to the church at large.
