Why registrations are closed With something like a video hosting service, it is much harder to "scale up", justifying the price/usage ratio by the amount of donations. Yes, the general donation/cost ration (without work time) would still allow more scaling up, but it does not feel right at the current state., By the time of writing, this instance counts 7,712 videos, resulting in 10.4 TB of media that is getting about 44 views per video on average. The average is so "high" because there is a tiny amount of people generating more views. Scrolling through the feed, videos tend to have 0-10 views usually., In a perfect world, the media weight should be at least twice as much, because this instance still needs some replication/backup thing for that media and above numbers lower motivation., For better user experience, the instance should be getting remote workers for faster processing of media, but most of the hosts are pretty well utilized already.
