Hannah explains our core and circles of self as described in the book ”7 habits of highly effective people” by Stephen Covey which, as you will hear in this episode...really clearly help us see both where our priorities are, and where they should be, and also how to fight for and protect them! So SOOOO good.
Back from our longest break yet! My little sis Hannah and I remember back through littler years, some classic mama bear moments and the ever changing role of motherhood.
PART TWO ! Amber has had a lifetime of personal experiences with and years of therapy healing from relationships with various narcissistic people. Most of us will have to navigate just such a relationship in one context or another in our lifetimes. It can become VERY difficult to know how to act and what to do. This list is a very good place to start. Please share this episode with a friend who you know needs this. Often, people are in these emotionally abusive relationships without even knowing. Raising awareness is important.

This episode took off on a bit of a ramble as sometimes happens with us three. Nesting, What it’s like to find moldy treasures in your son’s bedroom...among other things. Let’s talk about it shall we?
So much of life is fraught with stress, big feelings, big changes, less than ideal circumstances. People change. Relationships change. Family dynamics get hard. Work relationships can be delicate and tricky to navigate. So how do we keep on keeping on? Let’s talk about that.
In the valleys, in the not knowing for sure, in the middle of the night with illness or chronic pain or a new family tension, in the worry of having to make hard decisions. With so many hard things in life there is often a mix of joy in the little blessings, all the while carrying the heaviness of grief that doesn’t leave us as we move through days, weeks, months and years.
When we are sick, have been injured, are going through a very hard time and are very low...what we might need most, is someone willing to just come along, and sit beside us. It often comes with a sacrifice of our time, our to do lists, a sunny day, all the things WE want to do with that time. But sometimes...that’s what LOVE looks like.
Well folks, it’s been months and MONTHS...but...we’re back! And, like a pod from outer space careening back towards the earth in a ball of fire...Ber is coming in HOT. As usual she is surviving yet another EPIC transition with, still, no real end in sight. Well, maybe...a tiny glimpse of light at the end of a very long tunnel. Only time will tell. It’s good to be back friends. We hope you are all well!
Winter is shaking off and soon a good Spring cleaning will be well in order for all of us! Need help figuring out what should go? I have a list of ten things you can hold pretty much everything in your home to. Is it clutter? Let’s find out!
Amber circles back to her words for this year and breaks them down a bit further. Mothering teens, mostly adults now, moving away from all she knew, surrendering to what God is doing in her life and the lives of those she loves is teaching her a lot about herself.
Walking compounds massively and gives back in ways we never even knew! Amy shares a list of wonderful things that happen in our bodies when we go for a good long walk...especially if you walk outside and with a friend!
It took a while to find just three hours when we were all free to podcast together. Such is the ebb and flow of life. We will all go through long seasons of little change to seasons where change is the only constant. Fighting for what is most important in each season can be difficult and requires circling back over and over to re-calibrate.
You guys! What the HECK! TWO HUNDRED EPISODES!?? HOW? haha. HOW!!!!?? The truth is we have no iDEA how. We have weathered so, many, changes between the three of us...and it is only by God’s good grace that we are still going. Even though we no longer post regularly...we are still HERE...still here for this when we can be...and still here for YOU. We hope you enjoy this 200th episode plus a blooper reel to celebrate soooooo many hilarious moments. Too many to count at this point. Love you all so much! Thank you so much for sticking with us through it ALL!
For someone who has been in the spotlight for MOST of her life...it is a big deal that Ber wanted to do an Episode about being alone, but not lonely. It took her moving out of her home, her city, her state...to learn that it was possible.
For some of us...it takes a lifetime of learning the hard way to gain wisdom. In this episode, I recount some very humbling, absolutely EPIC, personal fails in circumstances where, lets be honest, I really should have known better.
None of us are SUPER clear on just one word to sum up where we’re at as this new year starts...but we’re trying. Sometimes...that’s all we’ve got...but we’re still here for it. Here for life, for the good, the bad, the hard, the unexpected, the challenges, the illness, the not knowing...and trusting God with it ALL.
WOW it’s been FOREVER since we’ve dropped some new content! It’s been a good BREAK. Lots of craziness has gone down for all three of us and YOU too we are sure cuz...that’s LIFE. Ever changing. Speaking of things changing...how are my pants fitting these days? Let’s talk about THAT shall we???
It has been a HOT MINUTE since we have been ABLE to record an episode and this one BARELY worked. All the warm thanks to my sweet hubby who figured out all the things that we would have never been able to. It’s really NOT the same...at all...without Ber in my studio but...it was so good to see her and be ”all together” in spirit.
Just when you think Amy ran out of lists she has the longest one yet! NINE areas you can lean into your physical health and a brief overview of some of her favorite products that help in these nine specific ways.
