We are constantly hurrying; long lists of to-dos are magnetized to our fridges. But what does Jesus model for us in our hurry-sick society today? How does the Biblical command of Sabbath reshape how we should engage in our hurry-filled world?
The Spirit and Love in Action Pastor Erick Download Pastor Erick Schuringa will present a message entitled “The Spirit and Love in Action”. He will be looking at the book of Romans 8, chapter 8, verses 1-17 and 1 John chapter 4, verses 7-21. Paul in Romans and John in his letter write with very different words and style. However, the message is consistent. Paul's Spirit language parallels John's Love language. Both give life and drive out fear. We will unpack and apply this on Sunday morning.

Pastor Brady walks us through one of the most unique passages in the Bible and shows how it points forward to the goodness of Jesus.
Come Celebate Pastor Erick Download Pastor Erick Schuringa will present a message entitled “Come Celebrate”. He will be looking at the book of Colossians chapter 3 verses 12 to 17. Think of a place where you feel comfortable and have a lot of fun without worry. Jesus invites us to that kind of life. He wants us to know that we are important to him. He wants us to live in a way that celebrates our truest self by letting his peace and truth flow through us.
Good Medicine for our Confusion Pastor Jolene Download Pastor Jolene Veenstra will present a message entitled “Good Medicine for our Confusion-Holy Disorder”. She will be looking at various passages throughout scripture. In confusing times God can prescribe both order and disorder as good medicine for us. When our holy order becomes unholy order, God shakes things up with agents of chaos like the prophets to reconnect us with our true calling of reflecting God's love by showing mercy to those who suffer.
Good Medicine for Divisiveness Pastor Jolene Pastor Jolene Veenstra will present a message entitled “Good Medicine for Divisiveness”. She will be looking at the books of Hosea 2:23 (& Rom 9:25) and Romans 2:1-4 . God's word is good medicine for what ails us. We're going to continue our study of OT prophets and look at good medicine for our divisiveness and confusion.
Everyday Worship Pastor Erick Download Pastor Erick Schuringa will present a message entitled “Everyday Worship”. He will be looking at the book of Isaiah chapter 58, verses 1-12. Have you ever felt like you were doing a lot of the right things, yet life wasn't working the way you expected? Isaiah invites us to look a little deeper at who we are, what we do, and what blessing looks like. Where he invites us to look will help us see Jesus. This morning we will also commission out SERVE Team and Cadets.
A Vision for God's People Pastor Erick Download Pastor Erick Schuringa will present a message entitled “A Vision for God’s People”. He will be looking at the book of Ezekiel, chapter 47, verses 1-12. This passage is a gem of a vision, buried in a detailed description of the temple, complete with many measurements. However, the images connect with events throughout the Bible and give us a vision of blessing and hope to which we can hold.
Pastor Erick Schuringa will present a message about “Change”. He will be looking at the 2nd book of Corinthians, chapter 5 verses 14-21. When we believe in Jesus, that changes our motives, and it changes how we perceive things. Once those things change, so do our words, actions and relationships. Let's keep assessing how our beliefs are being worked out in our lives. Especially in times of transition, like graduation, it can be easy to get caught up in the worries of this world. Jesus teaches us the relief that comes from learning to trust God more. In this service, we will be celebrating our Graduates and commissioning our Summer Camp Staff.
Check in Quesations for Ministry Pastor Erick Download Pastor Erick Schuringa presents a message titled “Check in Questions of Ministry”. He will be looking at the book of Ephesians chapter 4, verses 1-17. As we finish preparing Brady for his ministry experience, we are going to look together at some good check-in questions to assess any ministry we do. Ephesians 4 will be our guide.
The Holy Spirit and Baptism Pastor Erick Pastor Erick Schuringa continues the series “Hanging Out with the Holy Spirit” with a 7th message “The Holy Spirit and Baptism”. He will be looking at the book of Acts chapter 10 verses 44-48; chapter 11 verses 15-17; and chapter 19 verses 1-7. There are many connections between baptism and the Holy Spirit. We will look at a number of the connections and consider how we can continue on our journey of being guided and empowered by the Holy Spirit in our lives.

There is a wonderful mix of prophecies in action in the Palm Sunday story. We have our children with us in this service, and so we will have an interactive time of trying to live into this story, and it's meaning.

The accusation of Jesus is a study in humanity's struggle to understand power.

Following Jesus calls us to be very honest about our limitations and very thankful that Jesus knows. Let us enter into the honesty of this part of the story. During our service this morning we are also privileged to witness God’s covenant in Baptism.
