The 1998 movie The Truman Show is an exemplary commentary on the human condition and the nature of the false reality in which humanity finds itself. In this milestone 10th episode, Bobby and Jordan proceed to make commentary on the commentary in the hope that Truman will begin to realize that he is, in fact, the star of a cosmically significant television program.
Has society finally reached the point where the coronavirus hysteria has jumped the shark?
So far, this is one of our favorite episodes. The great and free societies of human history were founded on noble principles. They exhibited similar characteristics at the apex of their virtue, and most often descended into chaos and corruption. Bobby and Jordan explore these ideas, happening upon an exciting metaphor.
What constitutes self-evident truth? In this episode Bobby and Jordan continue the discussion on what makes a good society and the self-evident ideals that would support one. They wonder aloud as to the state of the majority of the American people. Are they buying the lies and deception coming from corporate media? Or what?
This latest discussion between Bobby and Jordan sifts through the wreckage of the last 12 months as they explore the myriad of propaganda surrounding "you know what" and look forward to new beginnings. Are we seeing a light at the end of the tunnel as our society approaches the ancient new year (equinox) with hope for the coming season of new life? Is it the actions of a beneficent state that are lifting us up? Or is it the natural cycle that we have experienced since time immemorial?
Continuing the discussion about what makes a good society, Bobby and Jordan explore various themes and patterns that emerge from dystopian literature and film. They also explore the effects that widespread video gaming will create as society changes. All this and more as relates to current and upcoming possible events.
In Episode 16 Bobby earns his PhD from the recently established Fludd-Bruno Omniverse. As a Pronunciation hetero-Doc, he schools Jordan in the finer points of the modern culture. This very entertaining and tangential discussion is most definitely worth the listener's valuable time as our hosts weave in and out of a myriad of relevant topics barraging the public mind.
Today's entertaining tangent takes our listeners down the rabbit hole, situated somewhere along memory lane. The discussion ranges from a brief history on popular music of the 20th century to our current-day predicament and even back, back, all the way back to the Israelite exodus from Egypt.
Considering the efforts of the powers-that-be to entirely re-arrange society using the coronavirus as an excuse, we find it perfectly plausible that they will shut down the internet (of course claiming it's for our own good due to cyber attack) and possibly also the financial system for a short period of time in order to achieve their nefarious goals, when it becomes clear that the majority of the public has refused to fully buy in to the charade and recognizes we have collectively jumped the shark. (See Episode 11 for the "shark jump.")

The general character and level of harmony in any society has historically followed cyclical patterns (often called turnings) that tend to correspond to generational trends. In this episode, Bobby and Jordan postulate on the current turnings of American and world society and whether this is simply a typical fourth turning relating to generational factors or if we're caught in a larger super cycle with more far reaching ramifications.
Some things are stranger than fiction. One of those things is the 2006 movie ... thusly named, Stranger than Fiction. Tune in as Bobby and Jordan break down the story line and discuss in detail how it and current events relate to the universal "Hero's Journey" we find ourselves being tempted to take.
What have we learned over the last year and a half? Number one, the animated series The Simpsons is of significant importance. And number two? Listen as Bobby and Jordan discuss all the important things that the careful observer might have learned that have become painfully clear about our society since the beginning of 2020.
Who? Why? And why now? These are the questions we should all be asking as the corporate propaganda outlets begin to change their narratives this summer. Are we simply experiencing a short break from the circus? Are we in the eye of the storm? Only time will tell, as Bobby and Jordan hash, re-hash and re-re-hash all the crazy twists and turns popping up in the narrative.
