In this episode Si’s talks with various people about their highlights of this summers Newday youth event. He first talks with James Hatcher about the Youth Alpha (which they helped lead), then he chats with various members of our youth and youth leaders.
We have the pleasure of welcoming a guest speaker, Ben Virgo to continue our teaching series called song stories, Ben looks at story behind the famous hymn 'Amazing Grace' by John Newton. Here, Ben describes John Newton's dramatic conversion for a slave trader to influential church paster and how his hymn only makes sense if you understand the gospel of grace.
Precious continues our teaching series called song stories looking at the song 'This is our God' that is a song written by our worship team here in Life Church. Precious explains that this song is based on Psalm 34 verse 8 which invites us to "Taste and see the the Lord is good".
Abigail continues our teaching series called song stories looking at the song 'Christ our hope in life and death'. Here she explores that how our hope that we have in life and in death is not a result of wishful thinking or a set of things I have to do, but this hope is in the person of Jesus Christ.
Si introduces Elliot to continue our teaching series called song stories looking at the song King of hope by Zo Ross-Waddell. Elliot explains how this song is based on Romans 15:13, showing that true hope is based on Jesus’s Humanity, Humility and resurrection.
Alex continues our teaching series called song stories looking at the song Cornerstone. Though the bible references links to the lyrics of this song, he invites us to make Jesus our solid foundation in our lives; a cornerstone so that our live are true and straight and an the anchor in the storm.
Annie continues our teaching series called song stories and looks at the song 'Gardens to Garden' by Brendon Lake. Here she explores the foundation of the song that God is still in the business of bringing life and transformation to things that look dead and hopeless and he can still work in situations that appear beyond repair.
Joshua continues our teaching series called song stories and helps us understand what we really mean when we sing 'Nothing but the Blood of Jesus'. By looking at Paul's letter to the Hebrews (Hebrews 9:11-28), Joshua explains that the blood of Jesus was the only way that the consequence of our sins can be payed so that our relationship with God can be restored.
Starting off our new teaching series called ‘Song Stories', Nathan and Phoebe will be looking at the hymn 'It is well with by soul' by Horatio Spafford. Here they explore how the song was inspired by the death of Haratio's four young children in a maritime accident. They look at how this song give them comfort at the tragic loss of their own baby daughter, Viola. Nathan goes on to say that our 'inner wellness’ is not found in our circumstances but found in Jesus.
Chris concludes our teaching series on ‘Hunger for God’ by looking at the importance of building our lives on the truths revealed in the bible, anything else is a vanity project and it will come to nothing.
Our teaching series on ‘Hunger for God’ continues with a look at healing. We live in a world where miracles simply should not happen, and yet sometimes they do. Si helps us understand that there are times we have to say, ‘Only God could do that!’.
Here we welcome Terry Virgo (one of the Founders of New Frontiers) to continue our teaching series on Hungry for God. Terry shows through the book of Acts interweaved with his own personal story that the Holy Sprit is available to to all Christians, we only need to ask.
Here we welcome Justine Sweeney from Maine, USA to continue our teaching series on Hungry for God. Justine digs into Psalm 119 verses 9-16 showing us that the purpose of scripture is not merely that we would know more about God, but that we would know God.
Si continues our teaching series on Hunger for God. In part 5 of this series he shows us that prayer is about presence not performance and in that presence we find fullness of joy. He uses Matthew 6:5-8 to show three key things here that Jesus is wanting to teach us about prayer, these being: what you say, where you are, and what is seen.

Katie continues our teaching series on Hunger for God. In part 3 of this series, she asks us how much is reading the bible a priority in our lives. And then goes on to explain that the bible is from God, and His was to communicate with us. And using a pssage from the bible (2 Timithy 3:16-17) shows us how the bible can equip us foe everything we do.
Si’s speaks in this episode with Dave McNee (a former Elder at Life Chuch, who now leads in Grace Church, in Salisbury) as return from meeting 500 other chuch leaders at the European Leadership Forum, in Poland. Dave reflects how, though we might come from all sorts of different backgrounds, different ministries and different cultures we are all part of a big team that hsa the same heart to tell the world about Jesus, and see the church grow and flourish.
Si continues our teaching series on Hunger for God. In part 2 of this series, her emphasises that every human heart is already deeply hungry for God, but we constantly stumble by trying to fill that inner void with worldly things that can never truly satisfy us. But in all of these things, we're lacking intimacy with God himself.
Chris starts our new teaching series on Hungry of God. Chris shows use three important things form the story of famous Daniel in the lions den (Daniel Chapter 6) about prayer. these being: Prayer is warfare, Prayer should be a priority, and prayer is power. Chris asks us to think of a time and place in our (that works for us) where we can spend time with God in prayer.

In this message, Nathan continues are teaching series on Ephesians, looking at Chapter 6 verses 1-6. He addresses a universal human tendency where pride and self-centredness leads us to subconsciously elevate ourselves while lowering or pushing others down and contrasts this with the "loving servanthood" of Jesus, who humbled himself to serve others and provides the perfect pattern for all Christian relationships. He specifically applies this to families by calling fathers to use their authority to lift up and lead their children toward God, while encouraging children to honour and obey their
In this message, Si continues are teaching series on Ephesians, looking at Chapter 5 verses 21-33. Si Explains that this passage marks the start of a new section that describes three relationships that are impacted by this new way of living that he's been teaching us about in this book of Ephesians. He starts, by looking at how the authority and submission of husbands and wives. He shows us that we are all made in the image of God, we hold equal worth, value and dignity. And that any authority we have is delegated and characterised by self-sacrificing service.
