Wrestling in the 80s was a much simpler time. Don’t get me wrong, I love social media, but I think it has helped create a toxic environment for wrestling fans (and everyone, really). Forget the Summer of Punk, this week it’s all about the Summer of Kevin and a look back at the awesomeness of 2011. The My 1-2-3 Cents brand was in its infancy but was really starting to take off, with interviews featuring D’Lo Brown, Mickie James, Lex Luger, and Nikita Koloff. I was also getting very involved in AAPW and got to manage Velvet Sky for the night. Somehow, I forgot to mention the fact that I met Hacksaw Jim Duggan that summer, too, my bad. Foley is good. But should Mick Foley wrestle again? With Foley recently appearing in AEW, wrestling fans are once again wondering if the Hardcore Legend has one more match left in him. This week on the My 1-2-3 Cents Podcast, we’re talking about something a lot of wrestling fans have probably felt at one time or another: fan fatigue. With WWE, AEW, TNA, streaming specials, premium live events, weekly TV, and endless content online, has wrestling become too much of a good thing? We compare today’s nonstop wrestling landscape to the “good ol’ days” when fans had fewer hours of programming, but maybe appreciated it more. This isn’t about bashing modern wrestling; there’s more great talent and access than ever before, but we do explore whether oversaturation can make it harder f
For years, many wrestling fans have pointed to Ultimate Warrior as one of the reasons the WWF business declined in 1990 after Hulk Hogan stepped away. Even Hogan called the move one of wrestling’s biggest mistakes on the Real American documentary. But was Warrior really to blame? This week on the My 1-2-3 Cents Podcast, Kevin and Chad take a closer look at the state of wrestling in 1990 and examine whether the criticism aimed at the Ultimate Warrior is actually fair. From changing wrestling trends and roster depth to business decisions behind the scenes, the guys break down what was really hap
Kevin and Chad dive into the current state of WWE under the TKO banner and ask the question wrestling fans can’t stop debating: Was WWE actually better under Vince McMahon? Is the company thriving in a new direction, or has something been lost along the way? It’s a conversation full of opinions, nostalgia, and plenty of wrestling debate on this week’s My 1-2-3 Cents Podcast. Leave a review and send a screenshot. Y

Before the podcast, before Shawnee Community College, before the HunsBurger Chronicles… there was Chuck E. Cheese. This week, I’m taking a trip back to my college days (1993–1996) when I worked at one of the most legendary places a kid could visit. Cheese in the 90s, this one is packed with nostalgia. Did I wear the costume?Did I survive the party rushes? Was the pizza actually good? Tune in and find out. Leav

What if history went the other way? This week on My 1-2-3 Cents, Chad Smart and I rewind the clock to one of the most pivotal moments in pro wrestling history, the 2001 sale of WCW. But instead of Vince McMahon buying WCW… we flip the script. What if WCW had purchased the WWF? We dive into the “what ifs” of this alternate wrestling universe: Would WCW have survived long-term? How would top WWF stars have been used (or misused)? Does the Monday Night War end… or just change battlefields? And what happens to the wrestling business as a whole? It’s a fun, thought-provoking conversation as we cele
This week on the My 1-2-3 Cents Podcast, we’re stepping outside the wrestling ring for a special non-wrestling episode. I opened the floor to listener questions, and you delivered. In this episode, I tackle questions about branding and marketing, share some thoughts on burgers and the HunsBurger Chronicles, and even dive into a few things on my bucket list. It’s a fun mix of personal stories, professional insight, and a little food talk along the way. Thanks to everyone who submitted questions. This week on the My 1-2-3 Cents Podcast, Kevin and Chad revisit the historic first WrestleMania I and discuss just how risky the event really was for Vince McMahon and the World Wrestling Federation. From the star power of Hulk Hogan and Mr. T to the villainous duo of Roddy Piper and Paul Orndorff, the event became a cultural milestone. But Kevin and Chad ask the big question: What if WrestleMania hadn’t worked? The guys explore the potential ripple effects on wrestling history and how the entire industry might look today if the gamble had failed. A fun wrestling history “what if” discussion y
