Making Jesus known isn't limited by God. Making Jesus known is limited by our reluctance to make Jesus known. Do I trust Jesus? Am I a reliable witness?
Jesus says to everyone he calls, "Come, follow me." The implications are great. "Walk in my steps." "As I have done for you, do for others."
Sunday, we begin in earnest our deeper dive into the letter of Paul to Timothy (2nd Timothy). Our focus will be chapter 1, highlighting vs.6-12, and a central image of 'fanning the flames' of the gift of God.
What makes for a lasting foundation? Although, from our nations founding, blessings have flowed to its citizens in different ways in different times throughout its history because of these beliefs and convictions, there is lasting foundation for life and freedom that runs much deeper than what is enshrined in a countries founding documents and its lasting legacy.
How does one love their neighbor? Curiosity and Hospitality. Curiosity and hospitality flow from God's continual curiosity and hospitality with us. After all, we love God and others, because God first loved us.
