On Easter Sunday we celebrated Jesus’ victory over fear. In every storm we face, He is present, powerful and able to give us real peace.
Judas isn’t the only one who has betrayed Jesus. Good Friday reminds us that God’s response to our betrayal is to extend forgiveness through the finished work of Jesus on the cross.
When we take our desire for greatness to Jesus, he redeems it and enables us to recognize, rejoice in and reflect God’s greatness to the world.
Through the story of Nicodemus, we learn that Jesus accepts and answers our questions with patience, understanding, and correction, with spiritual life lessons no matter who we are. In Mark 1, Jesus heals a man with leprosy. This encounter encourages us to bring the messiest situations in our life to Jesus and trust that he is capable and willing to enter into the mess with us.
