1 Peter 1:1–12 reminds us that even when our faith is tested, we can have hope and encouragement because God holds us and our future is secure in Christ.
Tonight we learn an amazing lesson from Paul in that when we are at our worst God is at his best.
Prayer is not about saying the right words; it is about learning to come to our perfect Father with confidence trusting Him, listening to Him, and drawing closer to Him.
Join us tonight as we gather praying with purpose, intentional prayer. Prayer becomes powerful when we move beyond vague requests and begin praying specifically according to God’s will.
Today we learn from James that prayer is powerful and keeps us close to God.
When the storms of life are raging, the darkness is overwhelming, and we cannot see what’s ahead, God calls us to trust Him, hold on, and stay anchored in Jesus. You may not see the way, but you can trust the One who does.
Who Will Stand? God sees, God judges, and God is faithful. When life feels unfair, we can stand firm with patience, trust His timing, and live with grace.
Tonight we learn from Paul that faith sometimes involves following God without knowing the destination.
James warns believers against slandering and judging others. Instead, we're called to speak with compassion, address offenses biblically and build one another up. He also challenges us to surrender our plans to God’s will and faithfully do the good He has called us to do.
Acts 26:24–32 marks a crossroad in Paul's defense before King Agrippa. After faithfully sharing his testimony and proclaiming the risen Christ, Paul reminds us that our responsibility is to faithfully proclaim God's truth and trust Him with the results.
Today we hear the unfiltered truth from James that in order for us to achieve a true relationship with God we must turn our backs to sin and cling to salvation through Jesus Christ.
It is easy to claim to be wise, but the wisdom of Jesus is revealed through a life that reflects His character. Real faith is not merely heard in our words; it is demonstrated by the way we live.
Tonight, as we gather, we will pray for God's church and our VBS team, asking God to work through every classroom, every volunteer, and every lesson so that every family and every child will experience the love of Christ, and that He would bring forth a harvest of lasting fruit for His glory.
Tonight we see Jesus issuing caution to those that were bringing disunity and division to the church. With practical ways that we can build one another up and to be mindful how we tear others down.
Have you ever heard the phrase, "You don't know what you don't know?" When we're living in darkness, we are completely blind to the truth. We are ignorant but believe we are wise. Join us this Wednesday to explore God's Word in pursuit of truth and wisdom that can come only through fellowship with Jesus Christ.
Today we learn a great lesson from James that faith is an action word. Join us as we go deeper into what it means to live differently for Jesus Christ.
James 2:1–13 calls the church to reflect the character of Jesus: no favoritism, no class system, and no ranking of worth only mercy that flows from a faith that is truly alive and active. Faith becomes visible in how we “seat” people in our hearts correctly.
This week, the second half of James Chapter 1 will challenge us to put our faith into action. He’ll remind us we can’t just listen to God's word, we must “do it” by allowing God’s Word to transform our behavior and the way we live our lives.
Tonight, we gather to engage in targeted, intentional prayer. As we come together, we will pray for God’s church and our mission team as they are sent to Peru. We will pray with faith and expectancy, trusting God to strengthen His people, accomplish His purposes, and transform lives through His power.
Today we learn an important lesson from the book of James in that God will sometimes use trials to build us up and increase our faith.
Sometimes we doubt an outcome because we judge the future based on what we’ve witnessed in the past, but we need to ensure we’re not losing faith in God’s abilities. Many times God moves right when things seem hopeless or impossible, because without Him it would have been! Tonight we’ll study an example of God doing the impossible which gives us hope for how He may act in and around our lives today.
James 1:1–11 shows that trials have a purpose, God uses pressure to grow our faith, build perseverance, and lead us into maturity and wisdom as we learn to trust Him in every season.
Today we learn about the similarities between the trial of Paul and the trial of Jesus. The big lesson is that Jesus brings truth, righteous, and salvation to a sinful world.
2 Corinthians 13 is a challenge from Paul to be honest about your walk with Christ. Examine Yourself in Faith asks if your faith is real and active, not just something you say, but something that is changing how you live, think, and follow Jesus every day
Paul prepares to stand before Agrippa. His example teaches us to be less consumed with prepared answers and more faithful to have prepared hearts.
