Colossians 3:10-17, the apostle Paul tells believers to put off their old sinful ways and "clothe" themselves in a new spiritual nature that reflects Jesus Christ, emphasizing unity across all human differences, mutual forgiveness, the rule of God's peace, and doing every action in the name of the Lord.
In Colossians 3:5-11, the apostle Paul urges believers to rid themselves of sinful earthly behaviors. He commands them to "put to death" sexual immorality and greed, strip away anger and lying, and embrace a renewed identity in Christ where earthly and social divisions no longer matter.
