The Brothers each choose their top three horror films from the last 10 years’ horror renaissance. Each brother takes turns making their picks of the best horror films of this renaissance, digging into the films and briefly discussing why these films have defined this era. They end with a discussion of the films on their draft boards they didn’t choose, as well as recapping some recent candidates, including Zach Cregger’s WEAPONS and Ryan Coogler’s SINNERS.

Anders and Aren dig into two of Hollywood’s biggest summer comedies. First, they discuss THE NAKED GUN, the new reboot/legacy sequel to the classic comedy series starring Leslie Nielsen. Then, they discuss Adam Sandler’s HAPPY GILMORE 2 and the nostalgia that fuels this popular comedic rehash.
The Brothers escape to the Fortress of Solitude for a review of James Gunn’s SUPERMAN. They discuss the film’s tone, narrative approach, and cast before digging into whether Gunn was the right man for the job. After, they expand the conversation to look back at their favourite Superman movies and discuss which were the best actors to portray Clark Kent and Lois Lane.
The Brothers head onto the British mainland for a review of Danny Boyle and Alex Garland’s 28 YEARS LATER. They examine whether the film is a cynical extension of the franchise full of callbacks and safe creative decisions, or whether it’s a more bold, horror-centric entry in the franchise.
